What to expect
The four stages every international patient goes through with us.

Consultation and photographs
Standard photographs and an examination of skin, muscle and bone structure. The surgeon separates what surgery can achieve from what a non-surgical treatment can, and sets out the options with their recovery times.

Treatment
Surgery is done under general or local anaesthesia, from about an hour for eyelids or ears to several hours for a face and neck lift. Non-surgical treatments take a single session and need no anaesthesia beyond a numbing cream.

Recovery in İstanbul
After surgery, stitches are removed after five to seven days and swelling and bruising fade over one to two weeks; you rest in your hotel with a few clinic visits. After non-surgical treatment you can go out the same day.

Follow-up from home
Scars mature over months and are protected from the sun; the final result of a lift is judged after about six months. Non-surgical results are temporary and can be repeated on a later visit.

Common questions
Can several procedures be combined?
Often, yes: eyelid surgery is commonly combined with a face lift, and non-surgical treatments with either. The surgeon decides what is safe to do in one session based on your health and the total operating time.
How long do non-surgical results last?
It depends on the treatment and on you: typically months rather than years, and no fixed duration can be promised. The surgeon tells you what to expect from the specific treatment proposed.
When do the stitches come out and when can I travel?
Stitches usually come out between day five and seven, and most patients fly home a few days later once the surgeon has checked the wounds. After a non-surgical treatment you can travel the next day.
