What to expect
The four stages every international patient goes through with us.

Consultation, photographs and health checks
Measurements, standard photographs and blood tests; for breast surgery, imaging where appropriate. Implant size and shape, or the extent of contouring, is decided with you at this visit.

Surgery
Under general anaesthesia, from about one hour for a straightforward augmentation to three or four hours for combined procedures. Drains may be placed and a compression garment is fitted at the end.
- 03
Recovery in İstanbul
One to two nights in hospital, then walking from the first day. Drains, if used, come out before discharge; the wounds are checked and the garment adjusted before you fly.

Follow-up from home
The compression garment is worn for four to six weeks and heavy exercise waits about six weeks. Scars fade over months; you send photographs at agreed intervals and the surgeon stays available for questions.

Common questions
Do breast implants need replacing?
Implants are not lifetime devices: they do not have to be replaced on a fixed schedule, but they should be checked at intervals and replaced if a problem is found. The surgeon explains the type used and the follow-up recommended.
Can liposuction replace losing weight?
No. Liposuction reshapes localised deposits in people close to a stable weight; it is not a treatment for being overweight. If weight loss is the goal, the surgeon will say so honestly at the consultation.
When can I fly home?
Usually seven to ten days after surgery, once the wounds have been checked and you can walk comfortably. Long flights soon after surgery raise the risk of clots, so the surgeon confirms the date and gives advice for the journey.
